"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I am currently a grad student in Ecohydrology & Watershed Management at the University of Arizona, and in my spare time I work for the USGS as a hydrologic technician.
I am also an artist specializing in 2-D mixed media works. My work deals with the emotional undercurrent of scientific understanding, as I perceive it. I use religious symbolism a lot, but not usually as it was intended. I also use maps a lot. My sustained art practice is currently on hold until I graduate, but I'm looking forward to returning to it.
